Thorn Lighting trusted us to help ensure brand consistency across an expansive range of product collateral and materials used globally.

With a continually evolving portfolio of interior and exterior lighting solutions, Thorn Lighting, part of the Zumtobel Group, needed a trusted agency to provide support with extensive product and brand communications. Our collaboration has since expanded to include the delivery of focused campaigns and the development of a dedicated online sustainability hub.

Based on our nearly 40 years of construction experience, expertise in lighting and a relationship with Zumtobel Group brands stretching back more than two decades, Thorn Lighting initially approached us to help improve its brand consistency.

Our first task was to carry out an assessment of the current use of branding across Thorn’s various customer touchpoints, including brochures and product information, advertising creative and sales and marketing presentation materials. In close collaboration with the Thorn Lighting team, CIB then evolved the Thorn branding, introducing new elements and design guidelines.

With a suite of major product launches delivered globally at least twice a year, there is a need to create a large volume of new product collateral and promotional materials. We were tasked with developing all the branded elements, including many translated for use globally by local marketing teams. In the last year alone, we have created more than 30 brochures with interactive PDF features, alongside animations and high-impact social media graphics. In addition, we have provided support for numerous lighting application and product focused promotional campaigns.

Thorn Lighting also called on our expertise when developing its new sustainability website. The aim was to create a single hub for all materials relating to its sustainability commitments, progress in achieving these goals, partnerships with key organisations and engagement with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. This extensive resource helps customers to understand the environmental impact of products and allow them to make more sustainable specifications.
